How to wake yourself up in the mornings when you dislike coffee

It’s so unbelievably rare to meet someone who dislikes coffee.
And if you’re one of them… like me, you can feel incredibly left out.
When people talk about needing their morning fix’ or…
Don’t talk to me until I’ve had coffee.
The rare breed that can’t stand it are sat there like
On top of that, we get incredibly jealous when people actually do perk up and become more productive after they’ve had some.
But there are other ways around it.
We will probably never feel the same satisfaction as a coffee drinker.. but here are other ways to wake yourself up for a day of work
Do not hit the snooze button
Coffee drinkers can afford to snooze for a couple of minutes; those of us that have nothing to cure our grogginess, can not.
We’re far more groggy if we fall asleep after waking up, so this should help you out a little.
Get yourself into a cold shower
This is probably the worst thing you want to hear at this time of year, but it actually does work.
After it, I feel a lot more refreshed and awake. Warmer showers tend to be more cosier and give off more bedtime vibes.
Berocca is a LIFESAVER. Just pop one in your water at work and you will feel the difference.
It is probably the closest us non-coffee drinks will get to feeling alert/more proactive after a drink.
Make a great playlist for your commute
This is one of my favourite things to do when I’m exhausted. Some songs, you can’t help but move your feet to, and the more you move, the more chance you’ll feel more energised!
So whether it’s 00’s party hits or 70’s rock, there’s a playlist out there for everyone!
Get your thinking cap on
Energising your brain is a great thing to do to stay awake.
Whether you play an instrument or a game on your phone, getting your brain working can help.
For me, I like to read a chapter of a book I’m reading at that time.
Go to sleep earlier
This is the last and most obvious one.
But you can’t deny… it does work.
It’s all fun and games having a Netflix binge until midnight hits and you realise you have to be up in 6 hours.
Look after yourself and wake up feeling well-rested.
