So, we’re halfway through the first month of 2020…

And here at Redwigwam, we have been reminiscing on what the world of work used to look like.

We have come a long way in the past 30 years, with no plans of stopping any time soon.

Here is a list of some of the old technology with their modern counterparts… Then VS now.

Fax Machine Vs Emails

The fax machine was once the most popular piece of equipment in the office (apart from the phone.)

It is strange to think something so popular no longer has an important purpose in the workplace anymore.

In comes emailing…

Emails are easier to use and more efficient. Not only that, they’re better for the environment (no paper needed.)

Big Computer VS Laptop

The most noticeable change in the office is the laptop.

Computers were big, clunky and user-unfriendly.

Laptops are portable and much more enjoyable to use.

And not only that, you actually take your work home! (Yippee)

Big Phones Vs Small Phones

For those of you that remember, phones used to be big, bulky and a pain to use.

You can now purchase much sleeker phones, and do more than make calls… (like download the redwigwam app.)

Phones in this day and age are in general much better.

Lots of Traffic Vs No Traffic

Working from home was once impossible.

Most people would only dream of avoiding the morning commute.

Now, it is possible with the revolution of flexible working.

At Redwigwam, we love flexibility, and it’s brilliant to see more of it in the new decade.

With more work from home opportunities, workers now have the chance of escaping early morning traffic jams.

What do you love about the ever-changing workplace?
