5 simple tips for improving your stress levels at work

Today is World Mental Health Day so we thought we’d share our tips on how to improve your stress at work and provide some ways to help you relax. You might have deadlines looming or a pile of work that seemingly never ends but hopefully this will help.

1) Take back your lunch hour

too often do people work through lunch simply because they feel they should or because they eat at their desk. Go for a walk instead, leave your desk and have some time to yourself, the emails can wait until you’ve had chance to recharge and get some fresh air.

2) Leave your work at work

Leave your work at work – you aren’t obligated to be available 24/7 so don’t be, be able to seperate yourself from the office as soon as you leave.

3) Write a to-do list

At the end of each day create one of these, it will help you stop stressing about everything you think you need to do and will also mean you don’t forget to do things!

4) Declutter your desk

A messy desk leads to a messy mind, take the time to clear away last weeks jaffa cake wrapper and all the other non essentials.

5) Stretch

Help relieve some tension in your muscles, if you’re in an office you’ve likely been sat down for a long time, stretch your legs and get the blood flowing and feel invigorated.
